Biography
Pol Perritt was a hard-throwing right-hander whose pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals and other National League clubs in the early 1910s earned him acclaim for his lively fastball and competitive fire.
After his major-league days he returned to Tennessee, carried the lessons of the diamond into civilian life, and remained a hometown figure until his passing; he is buried at Arcadia Cemetery.
