Biography

Pola Elster was born in 1911 and lived through one of the most difficult periods in European Jewish history. Her life, though brief, took place during years of unprecedented challenge and suffering.

Elster's life came to an end in 1944, and she was laid to rest in Okopowa Street Jewish Cemetery in Warsaw, a sacred space that honors the memory of those lost during the Holocaust.
