Biography

Pope Cooper was a respected Queensland politician whose career spanned the latter half of the nineteenth century. Born in 1848, he became an active participant in colonial politics, working to advance the interests of Queensland during a period of significant growth and change in the colony.

Cooper's political service left an enduring mark on Queensland's governance and development. He was interred at Toowong Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among other notable figures who contributed to the state's early history.
