Biography

Prince Alexander, Prince of Orange (1851–1884) was a member of the Dutch royal family whose life was marked by his position within the House of Orange-Nassau. Though his tenure was brief, he represented the continuity of the Dutch aristocratic tradition during the nineteenth century.

Prince Alexander's early death cut short what might have been a significant role in Dutch history. He was honored with burial in the Nieuwe Kerk in Delft, one of the most prestigious burial sites in the Netherlands, reflecting his royal status and importance to the nation.
