Biography
Born in 1895 as the daughter of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and Grand Duchess Xenia, Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia grew up amid the pageantry of Tsarist St. Petersburg before marrying Prince Felix Yusupov and becoming a witness to the tumult of the early twentieth century.
After the Revolution she settled in France, where she devoted herself to her family and to the Russian émigré circles in Paris, offering hospitality, supporting charitable endeavours, and helping to sustain the traditions of her heritage until her death in 1970.
