Biography

Princess Maria of Greece and Denmark (1876–1940) was a member of the Greek royal family who lived during a period of significant dynastic and national change. As a princess, she occupied an important position within the royal court and represented the connections between the Greek and broader European royal families.

Princess Maria's life spanned the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, encompassing periods of both stability and considerable upheaval in European royal circles. She maintained her position within the royal family until her death in 1940, and was laid to rest at Tatoi Palace, the traditional residence and burial place of the Greek royal family, reflecting her status and importance within the dynasty.
