Biography

Pyotr Alekseyev was a distinguished Russian historian of the 18th century, whose scholarly contributions helped document and preserve important aspects of Russian cultural and intellectual history. His work reflected the growing interest in historical studies during the Enlightenment period in Russia.

Alekseyev spent much of his career in Moscow, where he engaged in historical research and writing. He was buried in the Cemetery of the Donskoy Monastery, one of Moscow's most significant burial grounds, reflecting his standing in Russian society at the time of his death in 1801.
