Biography
Pyotr Izvolsky, born 1863, was a diplomat and writer who bore the responsibilities of the foreign ministry on the eve of the First World War and recorded the era in lucid diaries.
He spent his final years among fellow exiles, continuing to study international affairs before being laid to rest at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
