Biography

Ralph Lawrence Carr (1887–1950) led Colorado as governor with a deep belief in honorable public service, and he strove to keep the needs of the state's citizens at the center of every decision.

During the turbulent years of World War II he courageously defended the constitutional rights of Japanese Americans when many others turned away, marking him as a voice of conscience whose legacy endures in Fairmount Cemetery.
