Biography
Ralph Wormeley (1744–1806) upheld the responsibilities of planter and legislator with a thoughtful sense of stewardship, managing his estate while weighing law and policy with fairness. He promoted education and the arts, believing that an enlightened citizenry could best defend liberty.
