Biography

Raymond M. Clausen, Jr., born in 1947, answered the call to serve as a U.S. Marine Corps staff sergeant and soon found himself facing the brutal realities of combat in Vietnam. In the face of heavy enemy fire, he repeatedly charged across open terrain to rescue wounded Marines, actions that earned him the Medal of Honor and a reputation for unparalleled bravery.
