Biography
Raymond McCreesh grew up in Camlough and, like many of his peers, became involved in the republican struggle, determined to give voice to his community’s grievances.
He died after 61 days on hunger strike in 1981, and his memory endures at the Camlough memorial where relatives and friends gather to remember his comradeship.
