Rebekah Moore was born in 1791 and lived through the early decades of American independence. Her life reflected the experiences of women during a period of significant national development and social change.

Moore passed away in 1869 and was laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery. Her memory endures as a representation of the women whose lives, though often quietly lived, were vital to the strength and continuity of their families and communities.
