Biography

Reinhard Sorge was a German poet and writer of considerable talent, born in 1892. His literary works reflected the intellectual and artistic currents of early twentieth-century Europe, demonstrating a keen sensitivity to human experience and emotion.

Sorge's life was cut short in 1916 during the First World War. He was laid to rest at Vermandovillers German Military Cemetery, his grave a poignant reminder of the many creative minds lost to the conflict and the cultural richness that was diminished by the war.
