Biography

Reuven Zekharyah (1924–1948) cultivated a literary voice that reflected both the turbulence and the tender hopes of the emerging Jewish state. He turned his observations into prose that blended lyricism with precise detail, offering readers a sense of the people and places that shaped Tel Aviv and the surrounding communities.
