Biography

Rex Barney rose from the sandlots of Winfield, Kansas to become a celebrated right-hander for the Brooklyn Dodgers, pitching with electric intensity through the 1940s and into the early 1950s. Teammates and fans remember his blazing fastball and competitive spirit, which helped anchor several pennant pursuits and kept Dodgers faithful on the edges of their seats.
