Richard Ballantyne

Biography

Richard Ballantyne (1817-1898) founded the Sunday School program for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicating himself to teaching the gospel to children and adults alike.

He lived a life of service, traveling as a missionary and supporting his community, and he is remembered at Ogden City Cemetery for the spiritual foundation he helped build.
