Richard Janion Nevill

Biography

Richard Janion Nevill (1785-1856) built a reputation as a businessperson who balanced enterprise with generosity, helping to strengthen the mercantile fabric of his community while offering support to those in need. He believed that commerce should bolster the common good and that honest dealings were a form of devotion.

His grave at St Cennych's Church invites contemplation of the practical wisdom and generous spirit by which he conducted his affairs.
