Richard P. Giles

Biography

Richard P. Giles, born in 1840, was respected for his calm judgment, warm humor, and willingness to lend a hand whenever Greenwood Cemetery's neighbors gathered for both toil and celebration.

Those who came to know him appreciated his gentle leadership and his efforts to care for older relatives, and in 1896 he was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, where his memory remains cherished.
