Richard Sandford

Biography

Richard Sandford (1891–1918) was a brave submariner who served his country during the First World War. His naval service represented the sacrifice of many young men who gave their lives during the conflict.

Sandford's memory is preserved as a testament to the courage of submarine crews during wartime. He was laid to rest in Eston Cemetery, remembered for his service and sacrifice.
