Biography

Richard Twiss was a respected Native American author, speaker, and musician who dedicated his life to building bridges between Native communities and the broader Church. Through his work with Wiconi International, he encouraged mutual respect, healing, and deeper understanding of Indigenous traditions.

His music and writing invited listeners to walk together in compassion, and he often taught that reconciliation is a journey of listening and shared stories. His influence continues to inspire peacemaking efforts, and he rests at Black Hills National Cemetery.
