Biography

Richard Winn fought for American independence and then carried that same spirit into public life, representing South Carolina in the U.S. House and helping to settle the affairs of his state in the early republic.

He spent his later years tending to his home and the men who had served beside him, passing away in 1818 and buried at Greenwood Cemetery, where his service is still remembered.
