Biography

Born in 1923, Rino Della Negra was well known as an association football player whose skills on the pitch made him a beloved figure in Ivry-sur-Seine. As the war darkened France, Rino left sport behind and joined the resistance, bringing the same teamwork and determination to the fight for freedom.

His capture and execution in 1944 stunned the community, yet his memory endures as an example of a young athlete who refused to stand idly aside when his country needed him most.
