Biography
Robert Caesar Childers devoted his scholarly talents to the study of Oriental languages, producing works that deepened Western knowledge of Burmese and other Asian tongues. His dictionaries and grammars reflected tireless research and a deep respect for the cultures he studied.
Childers’ scholarship provided a foundation for subsequent generations of linguists and helped bridge understanding between East and West. He is interred at Highgate Cemetery, where his quiet legacy of learning continues to be honored.
