Robert Donaldson Allison (1810-1900) was known among his fellow citizens for a lifetime of service to the families around Pecan Grove, offering counsel and labor in equal measure.

He believed deeply in neighborly cooperation, and his legacy lingers in the fields and friendships that remember him beside Pecan Grove Cemetery.
