Robert H. Foerderer

Biography

Robert H. Foerderer (1860-1903) built a notable manufacturing concern, employing many Philadelphians and introducing innovations that kept the city’s leather trade vital.

Later elected to Congress, he continued to promote the welfare of workers and families, never forgetting the neighborhoods that had shaped him and helping to fund schools and hospitals.
