Robert Johnson Ward

Biography

Robert Johnson Ward was born in 1798 and lived through the early American republic and into the Civil War era. His long life spanned sixty-four years of American history, from the early years of the nation through the nineteenth century's most turbulent period.

Ward passed away in 1862 and was buried at Cave Hill Cemetery. His extended life allowed him to witness the nation's growth from its early years through the challenges of the 1860s.
