Biography
Robert Knox devoted his life to the careful study of anatomy, lecturing generations of students at Surgeons Hall and publishing works that emphasized the importance of direct observation in the dissection theatre.
Though his career was touched by the Burke and Hare tragedy, he continued to champion medical education and wrote influential essays on comparative anatomy and the diversity of mankind.
