Robert S. James

Biography

Robert S. James was born in 1818 and lived during the dynamic early decades of the 19th century. His life coincided with significant expansion and development across the American frontier.

James's life concluded in 1850, and he was laid to rest at Old Placerville City Cemetery. He is remembered as part of the historical community of the Gold Country region during its formative years.
