Robert Sanderson McCormick devoted his life to both public affairs and the civic life of his adopted city, carrying the same sense of duty and dedication that defined the McCormick family name. He represented the United States abroad and remained deeply engaged with the civic institutions that nourished Chicago’s growth.
Always attentive to the needs of his community, he supported educational, cultural, and charitable causes, leaving a mark on both the local and national stage. His resting place in Graceland Cemetery is a testament to a life spent in earnest service.
