Biography
Robert Weigl (1851–1902) was an accomplished sculptor whose artistic creations contributed to Vienna's architectural and sculptural heritage during the late 19th century. His work exemplified the neoclassical and contemporary aesthetic traditions that defined Viennese artistic practice of his era.
Weigl's sculptures remain part of Vienna's cultural landscape and artistic legacy. He was interred at Vienna Central Cemetery, the city's most prominent burial ground, where many of Austria's most distinguished artists and intellectuals were laid to rest.
