Rodolph Fane De Salis brought engineering skill and care to numerous projects, from roads and bridges to waterworks, improving Surrey’s infrastructure during a time of rapid change.
He also supported professional societies and philanthropic causes, believing that sound engineering should serve the common good as well as commerce.
