Rolf Hans
1938–1996 (age 58)
Biography
Born in 1938, Rolf Hans devoted himself to painting the quiet rhythms of Swiss life, letting luminous washes and patient brushstrokes evoke the weathered facades, meadows, and harbor edges he knew around the canton laid out beneath Hörnli.
Throughout his career he welcomed students into his studio, encouraged them to observe the play of light, and remained a familiar figure in local exhibitions, leaving behind works and memories now honored at Friedhof am Hörnli, where his friends gather in remembrance.
