Biography
Rollin M. Daggett began his public life as a journalist whose keen observations of the American West earned him respect across Nevada, where he also served in the U.S. House of Representatives and championed the honest governance that would allow the frontier to thrive.
Later appointed by the President as U.S. Minister to the Kingdom of Hawaii, he navigated complex diplomacy with a steady hand and, upon returning home, remained a valued elder statesman who kept alive the ideals of a free press and a thoughtful foreign policy.
