Biography
Ron Middleton, born in 1916, answered the call to the Royal Air Force and became known for his calm composure and skill in the cockpit during perilous wartime operations; he was regarded by comrades as a natural leader who inspired confidence when facing danger.
In 1942 he made the ultimate sacrifice after an act of selfless bravery that saved his crew, and his memory rests at Beck Row, where those who knew him honour his courage.
