Biography
Rudolf Urbánek (1912–1996) lived a long life spanning much of the twentieth century, witnessing the dramatic transformations of Czech history from the First Republic through the post-war period. His lifetime encompassed some of the most significant events in European and Czech history.
Urbánek's enduring presence in his community reflects the continuity and resilience of Czech life across generations of change. He was laid to rest in the Cemetery in Židenice, where he is remembered as a witness to and participant in the historical journey of his nation.
