Rufus King

Biography

Rufus King, born in 1817, devoted many decades to the civic and commercial life of Cincinnati, meeting the challenges of the mid-nineteenth century with calm judgment and an inclusive spirit.

His passing in 1891 left a circle of friends and colleagues grateful for his counsel, and he rests at Spring Grove Cemetery, a place that honors many citizens of his era.
