Biography

Søren Hjorth combined engineering precision with practical invention, leaving his mark on the development of communication and transportation infrastructure. His work on electromagnetic apparatus and telegraphy helped to accelerate the spread of information across Denmark, and he was admired for the clarity of his designs and the reliability of the systems he improved.
