Biography

Sabine Baring-Gould was a prolific English writer, clergyman, and folklorist whose literary output spanned numerous genres including novels, hymns, and historical works. Born in 1834, he became known for his extensive contributions to Victorian literature and his deep interest in preserving English folklore and traditions. His works reflected his scholarly pursuits and his commitment to both religious and secular themes.

Throughout his long life, Baring-Gould maintained an active presence in literary and ecclesiastical circles, producing over 150 works during his career.
