Biography
Sal Aunese, a native of Hawaii, earned acclaim as the starting quarterback for the University of Colorado Buffaloes, guiding the team with poise and leadership through the late 1980s and inspiring fans with his competitive spirit.
When a diagnosis of stomach cancer abruptly ended his promising career, he faced the illness with courage, remaining a source of encouragement to his teammates and community before his untimely passing; Eternal Hills Memorial Park now holds his grave.
