Salome Lincoln Mowry

Biography

Salome Lincoln Mowry was born in 1807 and died at the young age of thirty-four in 1841. Her brief life occurred during a time of significant change and development in early nineteenth-century America, as the nation continued to expand and industrialize.

Though her years were few, Mowry is remembered in Pleasant View Cemetery, where her memory is preserved. Her life, though short, was part of the broader experience of her generation during this formative period of American history.
