Salomon Behrend

Biography

Salomon Behrend was an established member of Berlin's Jewish community during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He lived during a transformative period when the Jewish community was consolidating its institutions and working toward greater legal recognition and civic participation.

Behrend's life from 1745 to 1816 spanned more than seven decades of significant social change. His burial at the Jüdischer Friedhof Berlin-Mitte attests to his standing within the organized Jewish community and his adherence to its religious and cultural traditions.
