Salvador Brau was a distinguished Puerto Rican historian, journalist, and ethnographer whose research preserved countless stories of the island’s past and enriched its collective memory. He combined intellectual rigor with a warm humanity, and his influence lives on through the reverence of readers who still visit his gravesite at Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery.
