Sam Cowell

Biography

Sam Cowell (1820–1864) was an English actor whose theatrical career contributed to the entertainment and cultural life of the Victorian stage. Active during the mid-nineteenth century, Cowell engaged in the dramatic arts during a period of flourishing theatrical activity in Britain.

Though his life was cut short at forty-four years of age, Cowell's work in the theatre left an impression on his contemporaries. He was buried at Blandford Forum, a testament to his connections and standing within the theatrical and broader community of his era.
