Biography
Sam Warner was an immigrant son who, with his brothers, built the motion picture company that became Warner Bros. As a hands-on partner he pushed the studio to embrace innovation, and his faith in synchronized sound produced the landmark 1927 release that launched the talking-picture era.
His sudden death later that year left the industry mourning a visionary; he is buried at Home of Peace Cemetery, remembered for his daring spirit and his love of entertainment that brought communities together.
