Biography
Samuel B. Williams greeted each day with the steady optimism of someone who had watched his community weather rapid change from the rural 1820s into the dawn of the twentieth century. He carried himself with quiet dignity, offering counsel to neighbors, supporting young people as they sought learning, and keeping the bonds of kinship strong through good and hard times.
