Samuel Calvin

Biography

Samuel Calvin was born in 1811 and spent a lifetime participating in the rhythms of Zion Lutheran, where his faith and steady hand helped keep the congregation grounded through the trials of the nineteenth century. He was a loving father and neighbor whose quiet devotion to the church community provided comfort to friends and family alike.

In later years he found rest in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, a place that preserves the echoes of his prayers and the gratitude of those who benefited from his gentle leadership.
