Samuel Daskam (1823–1912) lived his life with a deep connection to the people of Norwalk and the surrounding region, where he offered steady companionship and practical support to those in need. His presence served as a calming influence through many seasons of change.

He was cherished for his reliability and quiet integrity, and he now rests among generations of local residents at East Norwalk Historical Cemetery.
