Samuel Honeyman Kneass

Biography

Samuel Honeyman Kneass brought technical brilliance to Philadelphia’s early infrastructure projects, designing canals, bridges, and railways that helped the city manage its growth in the mid-19th century.

He also taught and encouraged aspiring engineers, and he rests in The Woodlands among the city he helped shape.
