Samuel Orcutt arrived in 1824 and became known throughout the Old Stratfield area for his sincere interest in the well-being of those he met. His willingness to listen and carefully weigh each situation made him a trusted companion in times of celebration and sorrow alike.

Old Stratfield Cemetery guards his legacy, and the community still leans on the quiet wisdom he shared for so many years.
